Feeding Pets of the Homeless is a new unique nonprofit volunteer organization that provides pet food and veterinarian care to the homeless and less fortunate in local communities across the United States and Canada.

Our collection sites gather pet food and deliver it to food banks and/or soups kitchens which have agreed to distribute the food to the homeless and impoverished. Collection sites and distributing organizations are listed at www.petsofhomeless.org. The information is updated daily.

I live in an area of Prince George's County Maryland where there is a new Animal Shelter less than 1/4 of a mile from my home. Surprising enough, there are numberous homeless, jelpless dogs and cat running throughout the neighborhood, hungry, unloved, frightened and cold. I try to do what I can to feed them, but there are ordinances that prevent such actions. I am also the adoptive parent of a 3 year old puppy from the animal shelter. Kobi has been with me for 2 1/2 years. Each time I look into his eyes and see the unconditional love that he give me, I feel so sad for those helpless homeless animals who have no one. So I decided to open my own dog part and SPCA Club in Upper Marlboro <mayrland to encourgae people to adopt these homeless loveless pets. It is so good to know that your organization is there for this cause. Thank you.
