NOTE: Grant writing is a lot of work. Your group usually need really good record keeping (finance, community support etc.) as well as plans for the future, clear documentation of past accomplishments etc. Also-according to the FoundationCenter.org, grant support usually accounts for only about 12% of all money raised by non-profits. Most money (75%) is raised by fees for service (adoption fees, tickets to events etc.)
