The mission of the Pulaski County Humane Society is to advance the welfare of animals in our community.
Our objectives are as follows:
Decrease pet overpopulation by providing education, spay/neuter and adoption programs.
Prevent animal cruelty and promote the humane treatment of animals through education, animal care and welfare programs, and public relations activities.
Provide valued, educationally focused advice and assistance.
Our vision is to reduce unwanted pets in our Community so that in the future no adoptable, healthy and/or treatable cats and dogs will be euthanized.
We rely on donations and annual membership dues to fund animal care, education, and assistance programs. The PCHS has a number of regular supporters from the county and surrounding area, but we are in great need of additional volunteers and financial support from other caring people. On average, we receive 325 calls for animal assistance each month. These calls usually are from people who want help for stray, hurt, or ill animals; desire spay/neuter assistance; want to give up their pets; report an abuse case; or want to adopt a pet. We help approximately 100 people each month through our Spay/Neuter outreach programs and animal care services. Without donations from our supporters, more unwanted pets would end up in our county shelter and ill/injured pets would go without care.
Thanks in advance for any halp!
