Scruffy was adopted by me from the SPCA in New Orleans, Louisiana. His D.O.B. is November 1995. We lost everything in 14 feet of water but I did not care because I had my baby Scruffy along with our lab. Lucky!
In 2007, Scruffy had two lumps which were removed via surgery as I was worried it may be cancer. They were only fatty tissue tumors. In 2009, he was diagnosed with cushings disease and has been on treatment called Vetroly. In May of 2010, he was very ill. Thus, my vet. advise that I take him to a specialist in Mandeville, Louisiana were he saw an oncologist on May 17,2010. The worst news of my life is that he has Lymphoma stage 4. I cry as I write this as he is my baby. At the age of 33 without children, he has been my little boy!
With the help of family, we started Lomustine (chemo pill) that following Monday. Today he had his post blood work (CBC) and results are in normal range. He is always on prednisone, zofran and Lasik. His glands in his neck have already shrink.
I have all information from the specialist (oncologist) with the estimate cost. Please take Scruffy's case in GREAT CONSIDERATION! May GOD bless as I am unemployed and solely replying on donations.
Sincerely,
Michelle Wolinski and Scruffy Wolinski
