We are searching for money to start a new program under the umbrella of Cats Angel,Inc ASPCA. Cats Angels is a 5 year old organization whose mission is to decrease the number of ferals on Amelia Island, Fla. by spay,neutering,providing basic shots, and adopting out all who can be tamed. This new program, "Our Parents Pets", would match elderly and/or disabled people in the community with Prospective Pet Parents to ensure that the elders pets were placed before the elders' death or incapacity. The program would benefit the pet,many of whom are sent to shelters, and the elderly who are concerned about their pets welfare upon their demise.

Matching would be implemented by Program staff who would identify both present and prospective pet parents in community organizations such as churches, community centers, area council on aging,etc. The monies we need would help make this program a reality in our town of Fernandina Beach, Fla.
